50-yearplanning horizon, down to weeks

Of everything I built this year, the one that shipped as a public product is made of paper.

That’s the point. Screens are where plans go to be rescheduled. PrestoPlanner is a printed planning pack built on one idea: walk from the largest horizon of your life down to this week, step by step — 50-year direction → 5-year goals → 1-year → quarter → weeks. Writing it by hand is a feature, not a limitation.

The system began as a full app design that I judged not worth building in a crowded market — but the planning method survived and found its right medium: paper.

Behind the paper there’s software, of course: a Node.js generator lays out every grid and regenerates the dated PDFs each quarter so the pack never goes stale, the site has scroll-driven animations of a worked example planner being filled in, and payments run through Ko-fi. Fourteen PDFs, bilingual English/Hebrew.

It’s live at prestoplanner.com — go see the product page itself; it’s the best imagery this project has.
